SEOUL, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) - South Korean President Moon Jae-in wanted to visit Russia toward the beginning of September to hold a summit meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Moon's office said Tuesday.
Presidential representative Park Soo-hyun told a press instructions that Moon will visit the Russian city of Vladivostok from Sept. 6 to Sept. 7 to go to the up and coming Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
Amid the visit, the South Korean pioneer will convey a keynote discourse at the discussion, which was built up in 2015, and hold a two-sided summit meeting with the Russian president, the representative said.
The EEF is a provincial discussion for collaboration amongst political and business pioneers from Russia and the Asia-Pacific nations.
President Moon will take an interest in the U.N. General Assembly in mid-September to convey a keynote discourse amid the session, as per Moon's office.
The UN Security Council collectively embraced another determination toughening sanctions on the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) in light of Pyongyang's test-dispatch in July of what it called an intercontinental ballistic rocket (ICBM).
Amid the UN discourse, Moon was figure to make an impression on urge the DPRK to stop promote incitements and come back to an exchange table for the denuclearized Korean Peninsula.
